Another
Rotary Year and I feel honoured and privileged to be leading the club in
2008-2009.
Rotary
service has always been Rotarians' commitment to doing what needs to be
done, each day we look around us to see how we can help others best, both
globally and within our own community.
This
year's Rotary International theme is “Make Dreams Real”.
Food, Clean Water, Healthcare and Schooling, the chance of a full
and long life, these are the dreams of far too many children. They are our
future, we must begin by taking care of our youngest generation, these are
areas where a difference and true progress can be made.
We
have an exciting and varied programme ahead so let’s enjoy, have
some good old fashioned fellowship and fun, let's work together
toward the Rotary dream of a happier, healthier, and more peaceful
world.
